Gwinnett County (METRO ATLANTA) GA – The Gwinnett Chamber is pleased to recognize those who are making significant impacts in the industry, with the Healthcare Excellence Awards.

“Healthcare is essential to our community in many ways, said Dr. Dan Kaufman, President & CEO, Gwinnett Chamber. Not only does it affect every individual on a personal level, but it is also considered a strategic economic development tool for attracting companies to relocate to or expand and invest in Gwinnett County. Moreover, health care professionals and services comprise a significant part of our community’s economy, creating jobs and fueling our education sector as well.”

“Being a nominee, among industry leaders in the healthcare sector, is humbling to say the least, said Thomas Rhone, General Manager at AlixaRx.

Designations in the following areas will be given:  Community Leadership, Corporate Achievement, Executive Administrator, Healthcare Professional, Physician of the Year and Volunteer Service.

We are beyond thrilled that we have been nominated by colleagues and the community and are excited that we are a finalist. We are fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful sector and are excited to be a part of the event, said Rhone.

With the Healthcare Excellence Awards, the Gwinnett Chamber pays tribute to those who are leading the way through innovation, patient and family care, philanthropic efforts and volunteerism. Winners will be unveiled at the December 4 ceremony at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
